Sam Everington OBE, MRCGP puts patient-centred at the heart of his practice at his award-winning surgery at the Bromley-by-Bow Centre, London. It is a unique partnership between the private, public and voluntary sector, the community and patients. The centre includes over one hundred projects and social enterprises including complementary therapies, art studios, a nursery, community care projects, landscape design, graphic design, furniture, public art and a community café. Most users come from minority ethnic groups living in one of the most deprived areas of the country.
Dr Everington is a Council member of the General Medical Council, former deputy chair of the British Medical Association, and was a government advisor on access to primary care.
