Bursaries 2019

Below is the application form to apply for a bursary to the listed College of Medicine events.

Please note that at present the bursary is available for medical students, junior doctors, GPs and GPs in training only.  The bursary covers the cost of the ticket (+ admin fee) but does not cover any other costs such as travel, accommodation, or food other than that included in the ticket price.

Successful applicants will be informed within twenty-eight days of the deadline (31st May 2019 for those wishing to attend the College’s foundation course in July). All those in receipt of a bursary will be required to pay a £25 admin charge when registering for their chosen event/s in order to secure their funded place.  This must be completed fourteen days before the start of the earliest event chosen.

Bursary Form 2019
  • In 300 words or fewer summarise what the bursary would afford you in terms of the experience. Please place an emphasise on how this will have an IMPACT on individual consultations with patients and also enable you to understand and undertake a wider role in enabling and motivating healthy eating in your localities and the availability of healthy food for those that would benefit from it the most, particularly young people.
I certify that the above application is for my own attendance and will not be claimed from another body. I confirm that if I am successful in receiving a bursary for a funded place at my chosen event, I will provide the College with a short feedback report on healthy eating and how it will impact on my practice for those that need it the most. I also confirm that if I am successful in receiving a bursary for a funded place at my chosen event, I will then be happy participate in a virtual network of doctors with a particular interest in food and medicine and hope to develop leadership within this group in my locality and I will report back to the College of Medicine on progress.
